[Dawn has passed on Brady Lane, but only by an hour or so when sunlight has reached the newly appeared doghouse in 337's backyard. The doghouse contains an orange colored pony with a yellow mane, quietly snoring, as if unaware what awaits her when she wakes up. Which is actually the minute the sunlight hits her face. She's use to getting up when the rooster crows, after all. Of course when she finishes yawning and rubbing her eyes with her hooves, she's a little shock to see the unfamiliar surroundings.]

What in tarnation? I don't remember falling asleep in the barn last night... Wait, this isn't mah barn. Where in Equestria is this?

[Applejack steps out of the doghouse and looks around to see a strange and unfamiliar landscape around her. She's looking over everything, which isn't actually much what with the backyard fence blocking her view.]

Well, it's definitely not Ponyville... Or any place Ah've seen before. What's with the door there? Doesn't look like it's made for a pony.

[She's referring to the back door of the house of course, and she makes her way to it when she suddenly is jerked to a stop by the rope that has her tied to the dog house.]

Erk! Now who did this? Is this some prank of Dash's and Pinkie Pie's? Hmph, Ah'll be sure to give them a piece of mah mind if it is.

[She walks over to the doghouse and uses her teeth to untie herself from it. She can't really get to the part looped around her neck at the moment, but she'll worry about that later. Now is the time to get some answers. Which is why she walks up to the door with a determined look and knocks on it loudly with her hoof.]

HELLO?! ANYPONY IN THERE?! Y'ALL NEED TO COME OUT HERE AND EXPLAIN YOURSELVES!

[She pauses and seems to glance up, as if noticing something for the first time before knocking again.]

AND YOU NEED TO GIVE ME BACK MAH HAT IF YOU HAVE IT, TOO!!

[Applejack stops pounding on the door for a bit, waiting for an answer from the occupants inside. But the longer she waits, the more she gets this really odd feeling... Is someone watching her? She starts glancing around.]

Hello? Is somepony there?

(Blinks and recovers. He clears his throat.)

Ah, sorry, I didn't mean to stare. It's just that horses don't talk where I come from.

Well why in the hay not? How else is a pony suppose to explain anything if they don't talk?

[At this point Applejack looks to the speaker and pauses. Oh, so it's another one of those 'hue-min' things she's been running into lately. Does this mean ponies are the minority here? It sure is starting to seem that way, but at least she's not giving a surprised gasp or shock stare now.]

(Huh, so a horse talking looks nothing like when Mr. Ed did it.)

Through their body language, I suppose, but then I've never seen a horse in person before.

Ah guess if you want to get all technical about it, you still haven't what with me being a pony and all, but that's really not what's important right now. Do you know who brought me here or why? Because I seriously need to be giving them a piece of mah mind before getting back home to Ponyville.

I'm not the one with much information, I'm afraid. Other people have been investigating and making theories, but I'm just trying to keep my head down as much as I can. From what I can tell, the town is fairly normal, if a bit boring, so long as you play by their rules, but if you don't...

(Shudders.)

[Well that doesn't sound good at all. But if the hue-min doesn't know, he doesn't know. Might as well see if she can get back home at least...]

There are rules? Like what? And any of them mention how to get back home or get a hold of your family and friends?

In general, it is advised that you play the role you're given, though in your case I wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to do that. City Hall, the police station, and the dairy are all off limits. Every so often the town will also have strange things happening that in general cause everyone to be much more hostile than usual.

I've heard people have been able to get home and return, but it's probably better to ask around and get the story from those people in person.

Oh, and rumor has it that it's not a good idea to drink the milk.

Good gravy! What kind of place is this?! Maybe Ah should track down those folks who returned home and see how they got out of here...

Wait, what do you mean about 'role you're given'?

This place sets us up in a traditional nuclear family--father, mother, children, pets.

(Nods towards the dog house.)

I'm guessing this place expects you to be the pet. I'm not clear what that entails, though.

What?! I ain't anyone's pet!! Oh if Ah ever find out who did this, they are going to get a serious applebucking!

The 'drones'? Who in Equestria are they? Can't they see Ah'm not an animal? Ah can talk for gosh sakes!

They're the ones who act like Mayfield's a perfectly normal town, and that they've lived here all their lives.

From what I understand, it's a very advanced form of brainwashing.

Brainwashing?! Oh Ah knew there was something bad going on around here! Is that one of the things that happens if y'all don't follow the rules? Someone brainwashes you to make you think everything's just hunky dory?

Something to that effect, yes. Except the rules here aren't the type that most people would agree to following except on the pain of turning into one of those things.

Hmmph, well Ah'll just have to worry about those rules when Ah come to them then, I guess. But you can bet Ah'm not letting anybody scramble my brains!
